Galaxy Quest (1999)

Nesmith’s house in the film is the Stahl House the iconic mid-century modern home in the Hollywood Hills, designed by architect Pierre Koenig in 1960.

This is my mom’s favorite movie. It’s a classic heroes journey cult classic about washed-up hollywood honchos of a fictional Star Trek who are mistaken for real heroes by aliens who believe the show is a documentary. This movie is actually a really touching rumination on the subjectiveness of reality and the quest for meaning. It’s a comedy.
